Yesterday's episode wasn't much of a sight to see. I was actually in pain realizing that nothing much has happened since Saturday. True much that I still felt the chills when they replayed the magical encounter over the weekend, but it also made the hurting a bit worse than the last time. It's a bit of a smack down at reality. Alden's still alone staying on the other side of the wall, feeling terrible. Yaya Dub is still in the hands of the henchmen that kidnapped her since Saturday, drained, tired, and restless. To many, the situation is nothing but bad vibes. But to the optimistic, the hopeful, and the enduring, Yaya's kidnapping could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to finally make ends meet. Curious? Here's my take on what will be the likely scenario that fans are hopeful to see.
Let me recollect the final moments last week. If you could notice, Alden and Lola Nidora was on the same scene at the same time, but their feelings were mutual to one thing in common: they both want to save Yaya Dub and make sure that she's safe. When I saw that, I thought to myself, "I think this is the time of proof, the final test". Yes, of the 51,000,498 tests remaining for "tamang panahon", this may be the one trial that can commensurate all of Lola Nidora's other plans to make Alden suffer. The very purpose of the tests were to confirm the loving feelings of Alden to Yaya; if he is willing to toil, work hard, and patiently endure every challenge that would come his way to see his devotion through. Lola, being protective of the young woman she guided for so many years, would like to have an assurance that Yaya's love will not be toyed, fooled, or taken lightly. But now that Yaya's gone, what's the purpose of all that?
I think the scenario they have now made Lola Nidora do the worst: to push aside Alden's hard work for the last two trials and finally destroy the score board. It can be a bit shocking, if not provoking, at first. If you were in Alden's shoes, you may react blatantly for throwing away your efforts. But when you step back, think a bit, and weigh matters in your head, you may now question why. Why would Lola Nidora destroy the very manifestation of Alden's love for Yaya Dub? Was is just because of rage? of frustration? of hate? Those assertions may attribute to what Lola Nidora's emotional outbursts. But what about her feelings? She's feeling helpless, she does not have Yaya near her. The many years of her life in taking care of the young girl left under her care is now hanging in the balance. What may likely happen will depend on Lola Nidora's acceptance that the only man that can help her save Yaya Dub would be Alden. She could take it as the ultimate test to end it all.
When given the chance, I am sure Alden will be up to the task. He will not only be able to see Yaya in the flesh, but more importantly, he could win Lola's heart and save the maiden in distress. There is nothing more noble, more sincere, and more loving than to put your life on the line for the one that makes your heart beat. His life and safety may be compromised, but it would not matter as long as Yaya will be saved. He would be playing the part of a knight in shining armor. He will go to the cave of the dragon and save the princess. And there would be nothing sweeter than raising his hand up high in victory. Hurrah to chivalry! I will be sure that Lola Nidora will gain the respect and the trust Alden deserves to have for being persistent, untiring, true, loyal, and loving to the woman that he holds dearly.
It takes an open mind and a positive attitude to look into negative events with a positive light. That should be one of the things we should learn being a part of this fandom. Dwelling on the bad cannot solve anything. Piercing through the darkness and seeing the light should be a kind of mindset that every person must have. We may see the clouds thicken up, threatening for the coming storm. But there's always a silver lining to the dark clouds we see beyond the horizon.
