The Challenge of Keeping it Real

We live in a world full of pretend and make-believe. That alone is challenging enough to make things real when they ought to be, at the moment when it is demanded. When everyone else seem to orchestrate lies, make up stories, or fabricate deceiving words, it could stir anyone to just go with the flow and forget how it is to be honest, true, and sincere. Some would even go through the comforts of compromising one's moral authority for the sake of living happy lives encircled about by falsehood.

That's how it is with the showbiz industry. Celebrities, reporters, and involved media people would create or avoid for survival. It's just like watching a reality show where one has to deceive and play the game to win the prize, while sacrificing more valuable matters like friendship, loyalty, and trust. But recently, there's one celebrity that's rising against the norm. She's so true with herself that she did not mind anything else, whether it would benefit her or not, as long as she knows what she does is in her state of mind and being. That's how the whole fandom knew Maine Mendoza.

Even when her armpits are emotional or when she cracks corny jokes that sell, it's all up to her honesty that people love her. She's the definition of difference in an industry that has been so frequent in making lies, accepting denial, and meeting the demands of perfection. She is who she is, and she's proud of what makes her, her. There's no question about it. She's defying the walls that separate the celebrity and the fan. Maine is the living proof that you do not have to follow the trend to be trending. I guess that's what makes me proud of this fandom, of being in the AlDub Nation. We are sweeping the world because of a concept, an idea so rare, that it created an uproar that was never expected to make huge waves, rather than a steady and slow ripple. She trends because of her unique talents, her one-of a kind charm, her special traits, her passion, her dedication, and her God-given qualities that the nation is continually amazed and awed at seeing.

And because she's real, she's now in the center stage of what she demands to have: to keep it real. As many of us would assume, her tweet could mean different things. But perhaps, one of the most obvious angles with the pertaining rant is the level of relationship she has with Alden Richards. There's just no other thing an AlDub fan could think of, rather than that. And just how real Maine wants the relationship to be? She wanted Alden to be out of the shell he has been so comfortable of staying for the longest time, ever since he started in this industry. Mind you, and this should be a realization to everyone. Being protective, secretive, and private in the showbiz industry is a norm. Why? There are things that actors and personalities that want to protect, from the prying eyes and judging hearts of some of the inconsiderate, selfish, and egocentric fans and critics out there.

And in the case of Alden Richards, perhaps he's protecting his family and his personal life, apart from the rest. But many of us have been witnesses in the recent past. We have seen him pour out his true self. He no longer worried about what his friends, family, and close relationships would think of what's happening between him and Maine. It's as if he's slowly resting his professional and esteemed self, and he's tapping into the being that he really is. Maine wanted things to be real. How real? Real to the point that the real and the reel are blurring the line, over and over, and being confident that things would be alright.

We have been too predominant of the idea that there are many more things to see behind the cameras, or whatever occurs off screen. It could be said by the SOCO Team with conviction. However, as we have seen in the past, it looks like Alden is becoming more honest with himself. Some of us are in the light of considering his transformation a change due to the influence that Maine has to him. And in all sincerity, Maine's personality of being true, genuine, and happy is more contagious than flu. Whoever is near her surely will gain the same perspective and affectation that she has. Some say it's all about charisma. Others think it's her character. But we could never deny that even just looking at Maine, people are drawn to her. It's like animal magnetism inherited by the strongest of the alpha. I guess that's the only conclusion I can make while many are going crazy just to see her... Literally crazy...

And Alden? Oh boy! Just think of how he could be affected from all this, knowing that he's the closest being, apart from her family, that comes closest to her, physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. When we come to realize at one point, Alden has been into dubsmashing, making wacky faces, thinking of his own pick up lines, and even draining his energy, as a way of, maybe, going at par with what Maine expects him to be. But while the rest of us are thinking that he's modifying his behavior and habits to adapt, Alden takes the experience as a way of showing his true colors. He has done so courageously in one event. And now that he's falling deeper than he anticipated, there's no turning back.

We saw what he did in various events where Maine wasn't around. Some of us are delighted and maybe surprised that his behavior within the Kalyeserye sphere has gone overboard into the realm of reality. Have you seen him do the pabebe wave over and over? Are you in the proper state of mind when you do wacky faces in a debut when everyone else seemed so serious? Think of it. Maine had created so much influence in Alden's life that he considered the experience an opening of the real him. And in the aspect of his relationship with Maine? He is now less mindful of what the cameras will take and he is doing so with fashion, decency, and sureness. He and Maine are now that comfortable that they would show their real selves, even in front of the camera, even when there are only a few that could really understand what they're going through.

The hands that look for the presence of another, the clinging feeling, the jokes and the pranks, and even the things they say when no words are spoken. All of these are manifestations of the reality that they are getting closer and that the emotions are real. Except for one. Yes! There is one thing that maybe hidden from the AlDub Nation as of present. It involves the letter that Alden gave to Maine in return. While we saw that there was a hint of dissatisfaction or disappointment, what Tidora saw in the words of the said letter are directly the opposite. Do we need clarifications? I don't think so. As Maine mentioned, there are some things that are for their eyes only. And we have to respect that. However, I am actually confident that we will see something different... Something that would manifest out from the said letter. Remember, AlDub Nation, that patience is a virtue.

The challenge of keeping things real? Well, for one, you don't have to set too much of one's expectations and see things as perfect as it would go. Realize that we, as human beings, are subject to flaw, mistakes, and frailty. There would be moments when we are not able to do what is required us to take action of. But that's what makes us special. We are a work in progress. And there's always room for improvement. We may not be able to do things so well today. But we could act on our setbacks and become better individuals. Both Alden and Maine may be undergoing the same process too.

Another challenge pertains to sensitivity and involvement. When you are confident that it's okay to take risks, even at the expense of involving the ones you love, then you could take the plunge. Just think of how Alden's and Maine's parents are getting mixed up in all this. They're actually happy for what's happening. Even the siblings are glad that everything is turning out for the best. But when you're too afraid, then not involving anyone would be safe at best. However, that may also equate that you are not becoming honest with yourself and the people around you.

Challenge 3 may also be about the disclosures of the past. Many of us recently have seen how Alden and Maine's lives were opened to the public. Some even found the bits and pieces to be disappointing and bothering. I for one was actually a bit disturbed with what I found. However, as I think about it, I should not be too critical of the lives they once lived. Those times when they were younger, more prone to make mistakes, and commit things less thought of are transgressions all of us make. Their past was a result of their weakness as younger aged individuals. Let us not give them the burden of bringing out the skeleton inside the closet. If you only knew how much effort they exerted to make their lives better at present. Would you really go through the attempt of unearthing trash that has been long buried in the greener grass of today? Are you sure you want to bring a bulldozer or a backhoe and destroy lives that are now settled at peace just to dig and satisfy to destroy and ruin? I'd rather let them live the present and be happy for them. We are all moving forward, just as the plants and trees shoot up to the sky in bloom of greater and happier days ahead.

In the light of my message, let me express my gratitude to both Richard Reyes Faulkerson Jr. and Nicomaine Dei Capili Mendoza for bringing something special to the viewers. I could not thank you well enough for the many blessings you have wrought into the lives of the hopeless romantics, the yearning individuals, loving couples, and anticipating lovers. Thank you for sharing values that the youth can emulate when it comes to being educationally prepared and responsible for handling a relationship. I loved how both of you have wrought changes to the industry that's already tired of the usual and the conventional. Your love team has created a stir that the whole country could be proud of.

And to both of you, as I would take the songs that you sing na malakas magpakilig sa inyong dalawa:

Bakit di na lang totohanin ang lahat kung sa inyong ngiti nahuhumaling kayo sa isa't-isa. Alden's falling, falling in love with you Maine. Ikaw naman Meng, you're falling for Alden that finally, your heart gave in. Totohanin mo yung pangako mo na you will be loving her till you're seventy. That you'll be her crying shoulder, that you will be love's suicide. That you will be better when you're older, knowing that she will be the greatest event of your life. At the end of the day, pag napatunayan mo na lahat, masasabi naman ni Meng na ikaw ang pag-ibig na hinintay, puso ay nalumbay ng kay tagal, ngunit ngayon ay nandito na ikaw. After all, God gave you, each other, to show you both what is real; that there is more to life, than just how you both feel.

Be true and lagi niyong i-orient ang isa't-isa nang hindi na kayo nagtatakipan ng mukha on air. :)

Animosity in the Transparency

The Point of Desperate

November 3 was indeed a day that none of the AlDub Nation has expected to come. In the point that it seemed the fandom is indestructible, there came a plague that would set the world into its knees: The Hackers. Yes, in all honesty, I would like to express my disgust with what occurred when hackers used Maine's account in order for them to spread their advocacy, and encouraging the AlDub Nation to join their "Million Mask March". Their activity and desperate attempt for attention is so low, dirty, and cowardly that they had to actually peeve a girl's social media account to, what, make sacrifices and forward their cause. Anonymous PH has mentioned that they only used Maine's Twitter account for the sake of that purpose, nothing more, and that it would be returned to her. Naturally, including me, we would assert that since Anonymous is an organization famous for its hacking abilities in stressing their point, such as hacking government websites in support of the oppressed and deprived, I would believe in their words.

However, what happened after that was beyond our belief. The hacking grew worse and has infiltrated Maine's different accounts, including that of Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, and even her email. And to our disappointment and anger, we have fought the hackers in ways we know how; even if it was so little. But despite that only a few of us in the nation knows how to counteract the hacking activities, including that of Carlo Ople, Pratiksha Rao, and Abbie Real, many of us, in the spirit of Bayanihan, have expressed our support to Maine so she could feel that there are people who are behind her all the way. Millions of tweets have poured in, everyone was on Beast Mode, more than enough to feel one's esteem raised and the nation's morale unshaken.

And it was no later found out that in the midst of all the chaos between the AlDub Nation and Anonymous PH, there were a few minor-aged hackers who went into the scene and tried to disintegrate the fandom by attacking different accounts and associating it with celebrities and shows of the other network. And while many of us believed that Anonymous PH was still behind the fiasco, it no soon later happened that Anonymous' FB account has been hacked too, or so we would believe it's the case. How was I able to assert the idea? Understanding how Anonymous works, and having so many members, not all of them are of the same objective. Yes, there are some who acts as royalty by vanquishing the evil, but others are merely in the membership for the thrill of the game. Unfortunately, there were individuals that pretended to be Anonymous still and used the opportunity to induce confusion and fear, saying that they would release information that could compromise Maine's popularity, such as nude photos, and other secrets that are usually found in private messages and hidden albums. However, I am more than proud to feel that nothing has been found. Then what followed after was a gross attempt to taunt the undaunted nation. They used words that would violate Maine's morality. But that didn't do much. We're a lot stronger than to be shaken with such filthy language.

Because of the said event, the AlDub Nation now has a new movement of providing netizens the power of information when it comes to securing and protecting online accounts from the clutches of hackers. It went well. I was even prompted to check everything on my end to assure that I am safe and protected. At the end of the day, Anonymous PH got nothing of the support they intended in the first place. They now look terrible in the eyes of the masses. Their mission of gaining our sympathy took a wrong turn and became their disadvantage. Did the nation crumble? No. We became stronger than ever before. Our bond as a fandom has been fortified and strengthened because of these events. Friendships were further established. The accounts were returned to their rightful state... And now, Maine Mendoza became the second in the world to have a secured version of Twitter, next to that of Justin Bieber. How's that y'all?!

Too Short to Disregard

When Maine appeared on the Tuesday episode wearing shorts, the first thing that came to my mind is this: "Hey Alden! I'm wearing shorts. Come here! Scold me! I need you here!" For some of you that may not know, the modesty issue began during one of the shoots in the upcoming movie, My Bebe Love. If you have been scouring around for updates about the couple, then you could have seen one video clip when Maine was so flustered in fixing her clothes beside Alden. At first, I thought it was her fixing a lapel since she's moving her hands at her back. But when I noticed how Alden looked with that stare of concern for his partner's shirt, considering that the neckline was too low and maybe the blouse was a bit high when sitting down that her lower back's also showing, Maine can't help but become uncomfortable, if not shy, knowing that the person beside her actually expressed worry with her manner of dress. There was even one clip when Alden whispered to check her neckline. It may not be too frequent, but guys who act like that has great respect for women.

Going back to Tuesday's episode, Maine came in wearing shorts, feeling bad with what happened to her accounts. It was like she's in the state of rebellion, defying what Alden counseled her to do recently. If you have observed, Maine was into wearing pants, leggings, and anything that would keep her from showing her legs, as seen in the previous episodes. It had been well on the first week. But this time, she expressed her disappointment that she wanted to challenge the man to go to her and comfort her. She was demanding for his presence. She wanted him to come. But for whatever reason there is, things transpired as they were and Alden just stayed in the studio the whole time. Assumption? Did you even notice why Joey, Allan, and the rest of the cast stressed Maine's shorts? It's because all of them knew what Alden's standards were, especially to the kind of girl he loves. He wanted Maine to be modest, not for the mere pleasure of "owning" what can be seen for his eyes only, but of his noble intentions for her not to be disrespected, looked upon with lust, and make her a feast for the eyes of malicious men. Nope! Alden's not the type to like things like shorts that show the legs or clothing that reveal too much flesh. He has a younger sister to begin with. And he's just being protective of Maine, in the most gentlemanly of ways. And you could see in Alden's eyes in that episode that he was still concerned as to why Maine wore the shorts he already warned about.

Effort Maximum

When Alden saw Maine on that episode, he was worried because of what happened to her, more than the accounts she have. And if you think that asking what was wrong was kinda insensitive, then you could be wrong. Sometimes, asking the said kind of question, though sounding blunt and disrespectful to some, actually initiates openness and finding out if the person being asked would be more than glad to accommodate and state what the problem is. Ironically, the question "Are you okay? Is there a problem?" is a well-thought question that senses the urge of another to prepare conversation. If the answer is a simple no, then it only means that the individual would rather keep things to himself/herself, with no further questions asked. But in the event that the individual responded to the question in a manner direct to what is needed, then it means that both parties are willing to engage in some light talk or some interrogation to find out what can be done to take care of a problem or situation.

Maine's mood was actually more than enough of an opportunity for Alden to play the part of being the sweet and loving boyfriend, doing his role of making his partner happy. It's a lover's role to make sure that his companion is at his/her happiest. He started by throwing in some pick-up lines that he himself feels kilig in sharing. Yes, Alden's the one feeling the romantic chills that his dimples cannot hide or his spinning cannot resist. You could see that he spent time to bring in something new to make Maine happy. There have been numerous attempts, but it ended up in failure, with the girl still sad and upset. Alden even sang for her and she was still unmoved with her feelings.

November 3 was the first ever LQ recorded on screen. We are to understand that Maine's going through a lot, especially considering that social media accounts are her life. It was her avenue of fun and escape. It was her bread and water, more than just a way of deviating her thoughts and easing her stress. She breathes words on Twitter and becomes happy when she connects with her friends and loved ones. Losing it would mean missing a part of her. With knowing where she's coming from, we could be more tolerant of being pabebe every once in a while. Understand that her nature is so sincere that she does not know how to pretend feeling happy while her heart feels otherwise. But what's not to love? It's her personality that makes her and she's charming for the way she is.

When all else failed, Alden requested to spare some time away, preparing for something else to make Maine happy. What's to be done? Has he planned a way to bring back the smile to her face? If it was not mushy lines and serenades, then it has to be something creative. And what he did actually surprised everyone, even Maine! When she saw that Alden came in dressed as a Lola, you could sense in her face that she's trying not to laugh, most probably for the sake of giving justice to her role as a person whose heart cannot be swayed by mere acts of entertainment. But heck, if it was in real life, I guess she could have laughed rolling on the floor. I actually felt sorry for Maine to play the cold-hearted snow princess. Alden had pushed and tried hard, giving his effort to make his forever be happy again. But no, he felt bad too and gave up crying... The question Maine asked, I could say is a question of affirmation, of confirming the reason behind Alden's actions. And to my satisfaction, he responded to the question straight, honest, and lovingly sincere. I actually felt sorry for the man when he put everything down, moped on the floor, and cried.

But as Sir Joey said, "ganyan talaga ang mga babae."

Lessons about Appreciation

I loved it when Lola Nidora shared lessons about appreciating the effort of the person, regardless how big or small is at stake. I was moved with the words that helped Maine see the hard work that Alden gave to make her smile again. That there is no need to make things hard for the individual to exert effort and make things more complicated.

Vengeance of Emotions

With Alden now sitting on the floor, feeling down and troubled, it was now Maine's turn to woo the guy and patch things up. The sorrow was real. I could feel that Alden was really hurt when Maine hurt his feelings. For a second there, it was like Richard's actually sitting down, waiting for him to be picked up by the person whose heart is his. He even had to wear glasses to hide it. It was now Alden's turn to make pabebe and give Maine a bit of a hard time and make her feel how he feels.

As real and as genuine as things are, Maine thought of the one thing that could make them go back together... Ice cream! In the moment when asking for an apology does not stand with a heartfelt "sorry", she had to think of something to cure the pain and to make things sweet for the two of them, all over again. Insensitive? I don't think so. In fact, Maine had to recall some of her most precious memories because I believe it was ice cream that patched some of her worst arguments with fellow siblings and young friends when she was a kid. For goodness' sake, the girl is only twenty, and using diplomacy in fixing relationship scars is not fit for her kind of personality. She's unique in her own way.

I had to commend Alden for doing that, for making Maine feel accountable for what she did. He actually loved the feeling of being wooed by the woman he loves. Though it was not on queue, his dimples showed. and his eyes expressed that he's really loved, at the moment he heard Maine offering ice cream. I personally think it was cute, and he must have felt it too. But he had to endure Maine feeling sad for a bit. If he gave in too soon, then the effort would be for naught. So he had to be patient and wait for a little longer. He had to squeeze some more feelings into the apology.

The pinky swear didn't work. No, not this time. But Tinidora knew that Alden may be doing a bit much already that he had to put an end to the suffering. Thanks to her, Maine's smiles were all about again and the quarrel between the lovers was taken care of. Dubsmashing came back to life. But it was Alden's compliment that completely turned things around when he said that Maine looks beautiful when she smiles; a praise exclaimed at the most natural moment, something that Alden would even say when there were no cameras rolling.

But when everything else went back to normal, and the segment was over that day, Alden was not done in doing his moves. He prepared a fansign that would affirm his emotions for Maine at the moment, now feeling even more in love with the woman he fancies. It was actually unexpected on Maine's part, as you may have noticed that she didn't prepare a fansign to respond with. In summary, it was all that he feels, his sentiments for the pain and the sorrow. He would love to make a wonderful memory out of the quarrel they had that day, being fearless in using the very cause of their argument as a keg to use in bringing out his best of feelings.

Maine, kahit na-hack ang account mo,
ang puso ko hindi maha-hack...
Dahil ikaw ang may hawak ng...
Password nito :)

And in all fairness, Alden's strategy worked at best. Why? Whenever Maine moves her fists or her fingers at the point she's feeling that romantic chill, you know that it's genuine; that she's hit straight on and loving it. And to even affirm the love, she's pushing Lola Nidora... Because Lola knew that Alden's moves worked effectively!

Animosity in the Transparency

On the November 4 episode, there were some members of the AlDub Nation that became a bit upset, if not felt uncomfortable that Maine is showing her "rude" side where she continually disapproved Alden's statements. It was noticed that everything began on the previous day where her mood was sour. Based on observation, the audience let Maine's attitude slide because things were bad for her that day. But in the event when she was actually happy, and still continued on blocking Alden's words, it became a bit unruly and unacceptable, according to the sentiments of many. Different individuals have commented that Maine was actually insulting and disrespectful. However, I do have some say on the matter, which many of our members should reflect and understand.

First of all, when the said blocking statements were mentioned, and Alden being actually happy about it, we'll know that it was nothing to him. We saw a side of her that's more transparent than the rest of her attitudes in the last 16 weeks. Yes, she actually felt comfortable that she was no longer shy to show that personality of her, the pessimistic, to Alden. It was an indication that their feelings toward one another has already escalated to something more tolerant and more loving. What's my point exactly? If you love someone, then you can easily love both the good and bad. If it could have been just any other person, then Maine's statements could easily hurt. But because Alden loves Maine in a whole new way, even the bad is worth loving, even to the point that it becomes funny and amusing. That is why many of the people who have been in real relationships actually agree that Maine's actions were nothing but of comfort and ease, and nothing more.

That's the real beauty of being engaged in a true relationship. Everything, even the negative, makes a companionship more colorful and meaningful. It's the moment when compromise and chaos culminates the romance and love between two understanding individuals. When one is transparent in showing his or true colors, then it could be said that a couple has already reached the bounds of courtship. Why? Because in the realms of courtship, one has to show his or her best foot forward to find favor to initiate the next phase in a relationship, from simple friendship to being real lovers. And when you truly love someone, acceptance, tolerance, patience, and understanding are replaced by attraction, infatuation, and expectation. There is no need to hate Maine for what she is. It's all part of her personality, an identity that is truly her own. Alden would be more than glad to embrace all of it, as a profession of true love towards the girl that God gave.

Those are my thoughts folks. These are merely my points of view and you may or may not agree. Regardless of which, I would just like to clarify some of these things for the enlightenment of some of the members of the AlDub Nation that still has reservations to the sincerity and honesty of both Alden and Maine. I'm a fan but I am more loyal to the right and the truth. If you happen to see issues that would be worth your time reflecting, I would be more than glad to drop some pennies of my thoughts to open the minds and the heart of this amazing and loving fandom. As Alden said, "just call my name and I'll be there."

Deduct, Defense, Defeat, and Detail

I remembered this joke back then when I was a kid. I sparingly laughed at it because it was kinda lame but creative in a way. But the memories led me back to my youth because Maine brought me there with the use of Dilemma in a sentence.

But more than a memory, I will use these four words to create a statement that will help me seam my thoughts together about the many events that transpired recently. Nope, this isn't one of those cryptic entries I've done previously and definitely not a kilig-inducing one at that. It's time for me to make some cleaning with the mess certain fans are making, and also to answer a question that some of you readers may be wandering about.

Deduct

Deduction is a method that investigators use to generate and create a hypothesis based from the many evidences gathered, related to a case. And since this is more of making a speculation, it cannot be accepted as hard fact or truth. Please do understand AlDub Nation that many of the things you see online are based on the various information gathered from a variety of sources. Some of them are as clear as the noonday, while others are as blurred as the foggy morning. When we see some tweets that are not backed up by verified info, please, let's not get into the act of making assumptions or speculating what's really happening. Such deeds are actually unsafe for both the ones being talked about, and the ones who are spectators of the said stories.

Most of us here, I know, are talented when it comes to studying body language, reading messages between the lines, detecting facial expressions, and even creating stories. However, let us put those said talents to good use where we can share good vibrations to fellow members. I was actually moved to stand from my seat when I have seen certain individuals of the nation creating a stir against information that were merely based on deduction, personal interpretation, and misjudgment. I call upon readers to please never believe what you see not unless it comes from the source. It's like you're not aware that the food you're eating came from the morgue, just because you think that it's presented pretty authentic. Don't forget to weigh the facts then ask if the things you are reading are correct.

Defense

As many of you have read my previous posts, I am standing firm for both Alden Richards and Richard Faulkerson Jr., and of course, our princess, Maine Mendoza. But these acts of mine are not just based on mere speculation. I am immovable on my conviction of these individuals because of what I have read and understood about them for the last three months of following them online and on other sources that some AlDub fans are sharing. Yes, I am holding onto their words as dogma because I sincerely think they are honest and true people. Though I may not know them personally, I know for a surety that they are who they say they are, and nothing more.

There's a persistent problem that occurs in most fandoms that have pairs or couples. In order to not be disappointed, they would make their senses wider for every hint of information they could find. Whether it's a tweet, a snapchat, a past post, or anything else, they'll give in just so to confirm that everything would be followed as dictated by some of the fans. Please be considerate. Do not be fantards that you are, thinking that you have the power to write their destiny and decide their love story. If Alden and Maine are feeling a bit off in some instances, please, don't feed your mind with clutter from your frustrations and dreams. These two are in the stage of knowing each other better. Maine may not be as open as she is, because these things happening to her are new. It's been a while since she had her last serious relationship. Alden, of course, has Maine as his first "real" relationship for the longest time. Let's understand Alden's eagerness and Maine's pessimism. They are in the journey of togetherness; a clash of two feelings undergoing adaptation and familiarity. And you cannot instantly feel love, especially if you came from a life where everything else is different.

Maine could feel confusion from all these things. Yes, she dreamed of that "Eventually". Yup, she has a bucket list of what a man would do for her. Yes, she's looking forward for a man of chivalry to sweep off her feet. But no! Understand that daydreaming is totally different from facing reality. It's like you love the idea of bungee jumping, but the feeling is totally whack when you're standing on the edge of a bridge, seeing nothing but ground, 20 storeys high from where you are standing. Some fans are thinking that Maine's feelings are fleeting away because of Alden's actions? What? Is it because they are not really close when they're off cam? She's not as smiling when the scene's not rolling? Are we to seriously think that Maine, a young woman who uses her head, would easily deal with emotions that have long been missed in her life? Are you actually making me believe that she's starting to hate Alden or being cold because of commitments he has to meet or because his uniqueness precedes that of some playwrights, dramatists, or hopeless romantics? Slap yourself awake and know reality. Life is not what you think of. In fact, life is the irony of the things we see on TV. So, is their blurring relationship a reality? I don't think so. If there's something I could believe and affirm of such allegations, then asking both Maine and Alden about it would be the most reliable source I could have. But to actually assume things just because of created thoughts in one's head? Nope... It's a really bad dose of negative medicine, and it's not even close to what's really happening.

Despite of the uproar however, there's one who acts behind the scenes to make sure that everything ends up right, despite of his limitations as a human being. That's what I love about Alden. He's trying his best to make Maine's dreams reality, showing her that there's a reason to believe in true love. There's a reason to believe that there really is forever. There is no such thing as "too good to be true" because Alden, as imperfect and as inadequate as he is, is doing his effort to show that he's the real deal. He may sometimes fall short of certain expectations, but consider the fact that he is human, just like the rest of the AlDub Nation. He's not a make-believe character created in your scripts of romance and fantasy. He may be able to make you feel kilig with all the incomprehensible forces involved with their love story. But that does not mean he's God to actually think of what you guys are thinking. He has his own thoughts so let us not judge him for his intentions or actions. We don't know the real story, nor do we know so much about him.

And what about pairing Maine to other men because they're not content with Alden's efforts? How inconsiderate can you people be? Are you really that selfish that you don't consider Alden's feelings and efforts? That's the problem with some of us. Because we're too used to seeing flaws and mistakes of the present, we tend to forget the beauty and wonders of the past. Now that's what I call rude. You can't just take Maine away because of your silly and incontinent fan-servicing. Alden has been so into Maine these 16 weeks and all you can say is that "He's not meeting expectations so we'd rather have Maine to someone else." And worse, some are creating love teams that don't even have a clear foundation of things. It's just been less than two weeks since Tamang Panahon, and there are already issues? That's what Lola Nidora said, remember? She mentioned not to rush love and hurry it. The feelings and the bond will grow strong over time as they establish a deep foundation of friendship. A love that's true can't be fostered with a wonder fertilizer. Maine is a firm believer of that. She knows how a plant, cared for, loved, and treated well, will bloom and flourish, having the qualities of patience, hard work, persistence, and hope. So don't rush it. They will end up together when the time is right for both of them. But the time is not now, but will await for later.

There's also this other thing that I've read that if things would not work out, Maine could be better of on her own. That's just plain sad. I can't even fathom the thought of Maine being alone when it was all about AlDub that made their popularity rise. It was all about Alden? That's the reason why they're thinking that Alden's taking all the credit and Maine is deprived of all the opportunities that come in her way? There's reason to believe that this is totally unfair. To think that some are expecting for Maine and Alden could have the same projects and breaks, when their experience and stay in the industry are years apart? Do you really like the idea of crushing Maine in the early stage of her rising career? Alden would rather take the burden just so to protect her from being deprived of anything she could enjoy at this time. Think of Alden. Do you think he's enjoying the late mornings he arrive at home, beaten, and dead tired, driving on his own from a long shoot? Do you think he likes being photographed in a flight when he's quietly sleeping? Do you think that he loves the thought of missing some of life's precious events just so he could keep his commitments and fit everything in a day? No! He did not like any of that. But he's willing to sacrifice his own for the sake of family, the fans, and the people who look forward to meeting him and seeing him in his shows and events. Now if Maine, being young and frail in this business, would have the same level of demands, then I don't know if she could endure. Her family would be totally worried and things could be different. And Besides, AlDub will never be a hit if it were not for Alden and Yaya Dub.

I am, by the way, in opposition of her presence in Sunday PinaSaya. I would rather think of her health than abuse her just so fans could feel kilig seven days a week. Please let me remind you that Sunday is literally, a day of rest. Let her be. She needs to catch up. She needs sleep more than you think she has so much energy left in her delicate frame. She also needs time for family. It's the charging battery that drives her for the rest of the week. So let her be and give her the time off she deserves.

Defeat

I am actually saddened by the fact that many celebrities are now feeling the impact of the AlDub Nation, and the love team, in a very unfortunate way. Some personalities are taking the fame in a bad light, creating harsh statements and using crude language just to vent out their frustration and disappointment. A show will be closed due to low ratings. Some individuals have been bashed because of poor performance. Others where misunderstood and became victims of an angry fandom. It's the price of fame. Some will rise up and others will fall down. But how I wished that the world would be fair for them. But then, life is unfair and some would have to exert more effort so that they could have an advantage of the limelight they're supposed to cherish.

That's the war in show business. You cannot and you will not be able to please everybody. But things could have been better if all of us could be happy for each other and support each other. That pride would melt away and humility will come into existence in the hearts of each and every individual. Do you think I am happy that some would lose the livelihood they enjoyed for some time? Not at all. But what can be done? Competitors competed when there was no competition to compete with. They pushed too hard and ended up burning from their own flames. It's a sad sight. All I can say is good luck to those whose lives were changed because of the AlDub Nation in a bad way. We're not having ill feelings of hate, anger, and revenge despite of the wrong words said, demeaning statements delivered, or hateful points conveyed. Ours is but enjoyment of what we love. But your fans are filled with spite... Thus the karma that would take the toll of higher people.

Detail

At the end of my write-up, I would encourage you to see the details of what I have written. It may not be to the very point that I have stressed some of my ideas. But I encourage you to pause, think, and act according to what is fair and best for all of us. This entry may have come from a play of words, but know that I am not playing with the feelings of any member of the AlDub Nation. I, for one, am with you in supporting Maine and Alden to the fullest of my abilities, even though I have my own life to live and love. And before I close, there's one question I would like to answer before I drop my guard down.

"Why is your faith for their destiny/forever so unwavering?"

There is one word that will answer this question, which would be my foundation of steadfast faith and hope for their love story. Serendipity!

Funny as it says in Wikipedia that "The New Oxford Dictionary of English defines serendipity as the occurrence and development of events by chance in a satisfactory or beneficial way, understanding the chance as any event that takes place in the absence of any obvious project (randomly or accidentally), which is not relevant to any present need, or in which the cause is unknown.

Innovations presented as examples of serendipity have an important characteristic: they were made by individuals able to "see bridges where others saw holes" and connect events creatively, based on the perception of a significant link."

But there is no such thing as happenstance or chance, or luck. To me, I know that there is a plan, designed and created by Deity, that will happen to our lives, depending on the choices we make. If there are things that happen to us in any way, either good or evil, those are consequences of the use of our freedom to decide. It's just like a piece of a domino, affecting one decision after the other. In the point of one's life when crossroads are faced and they have choices to make, it will lead to an entirely different endpoint.

In short, I believe in their love story because as they said to each other during Tamang Panahon: God gave me you! (Ooh the chills on this last statement)

The Beginning of Forever

October 24, 2015 exactly two years before that, a certain girl by the name of Maine Mendoza created a poem about a future she's trying to picture out in her mind. It involved a song that would make her imagine of a man that would legitimately be with her for the rest of her life. Apparently, it was a song that makes her think of her own marriage; a reality that was far beyond her wildest dream. She was actually hopeful that one day, she would meet the person that she'd spend her whole life with, forever.

However, what happened two years after writing that poem, that thought of eventually became a piece that destiny fulfilled for her. Though it was not marriage exactly, but October 24 was the very first day that Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards got to be "legitimately together" as she had predicted. Their song was played and Maine got to do the things that her imagination created so long ago. You may call it a fascinating orchestration, but it had to be one of the best things she could have experienced in her lifetime, considering that she may have seen a glimpse of the future with the only person she could imagine to be with her for good.

Tamang Panahon last Saturday was indeed a moment that all members of the AlDub Nation have anticipated so much, for over three months of seeing the highs and lows for the Alden - Yaya Dub love team. But what I will be sharing with this blog entry has more to do with the emotions, the reactions, the sentiments, and the insights that I have gained during the grand event. Yes, some of you may have the same vision as mine, and some would definitely be different. You may find this entry interesting and entertaining in the sense that you may see a side of this celebration in a different light.

The Slow March

When Alden Richards was walking down the aisle, yes, I'll begin from there to make everything interesting for everyone, all I could think of was the anxiety on the faces of both Alden and Maine. It has been more than three months since they have seen each other for the first time, and have exchanged fansigns, kisses, pabebe waves, gifts, songs, and many more. With all of that coming to a culmination, a conclusion of what began as a simple prank, all that could be asked is the question of reality. Is this it? Is this really it? Am I really getting to be close to him/her with nothing that would come between us? These questions may linger in their mind being too frequented with the thought that something creative may come its way and interrupt whatever may happen to them on that day. But no, there was nothing. There were no perversions of any kind. Nothing of the sort.

With the box of Holland Roses and the box of the other shoe in his hand, he walked slowly down the aisle, having many thoughts of them together flashing in front of him. It was as if his days of loneliness would be the death of that day. He will no longer endure the pain of longing and separation. Each step he's taking was like a time bomb that would explode, with each second having the tension rise stronger, the distance becoming shorter was like the end of the longest journey he has ever traveled in his lifetime. It was like he looked at Maine as a haven, a resting ground of the tired and weary. He knew it would be with her where forever would start.

And Maine, she was looking at Alden walking down the aisle with a little amount of disbelief, if not pessimism as being a part of her nature. Perhaps she was dazed of the thought that the man she had feelings with, considering she has a crush on him, is coming to her, all dressed, carrying a box of flowers, and walking towards her with much excitement and bliss.

But overflowing joy was obvious in their face. They were both lit up like lighthouses on the beach of a cold summer night, esteemed with the sea of people, enveloped by the darkness of the evening, and graced by the gaze of the stars in the cloudless sky. The pabebe wave may have released the pressure they are feeling, but it was not enough to deviate their minds away from their most anticipated meeting. What's amazing about these two is that they have that kind of connection. Something that only lovers feel. It's hard to explain, but it's like they know how each other feel without too much of words. Their pabebe wave was like, at that moment, a resonant feeling. Sure, they could get serious for a minute or two, but showing this expression of communication was something else.

And walking in circles, it was like the moment is too close that they wanted to rush towards each other and be close together. To some, it may be nothing but a gesture of fun. But to think that both Alden and Maine feeling the same way only means that they have been awaiting for this day the longest time. They would love the idea of deviating what has been discussed or rehearsed in the program and leave everything else to fate. But hey, they're professionals and would not really spoil the show. It was kinda childish, but it was really cute they think the same way.

The Turnover

And so Lola Nidora came in to crash the scene, or so everyone else thought. Her presence in the midst of these two individuals only meant that she had to be a witness of the union. She was the catalyst for Tamang Panahon. She was the person that made love the sweetest thing. If it were not for her and the trials she beset to both Alden and Maine, their meeting, I bet, would never be this magical. If it were not for the guidance and wisdom of the ages, the kind of emotions seen on the screen would never be as grand and amazing. Yes, ironic in a way, but we have to realize, as people, that true love does wait; that it could be the most enduring and the most powerful if it has been proven in the test of time and space. It was just like a jewel going through the refiner's fire. It was like a stone sitting on an ever flowing stream. The edges, the flaws, the mistakes, the weaknesses, the shortcomings, all shaped, smoothed, cleaned, and refined to bring out the best in them. And the results turned out for the best. Alden and Maine, now ready for each other, shined like the best diamonds in the world.

Lola Nidora was the one person that separated their paths. And as gesture of goodwill and love, she would also be the one to break the walls that kept Alden and Maine apart for over 14 weeks. When she took their hand, and mentioned of the lessons she wanted to teach to the younger generation of lovers, she was firm and resolved that what she did was for the best; and indeed she was right. But there was something quite painful on that moment when letting go of their hand was supposed to be a time of celebration. Do correct me if I am wrong with my feelings, but it was as if the elderly, when their purpose has been met, would just fleet away from existence, as if they are to be cast aside or turned away when they have done their part or played their role. There was pain in my heart when I saw Lola Nidora giving the mike to Alden and slowly backed away, decided to leave all else to the love team.

But no! There are still some youth who would hold their elders dear. It was that respect in Alden that made me appreciate the person that he is. He knew that if it were not for Lola Nidora, Yaya Dub's presence, as proven through tribulation, would never be as it is. He would never realize that growing love in his heart. There would never be an assurance of the sincere feelings he has for Maine. Alden and Maine rushed to Lola Nidora to make her feel that she was not just a person. They made Lola feel that she was valuable, loved, and cared for. Their concern for her being was there, heartfelt and whole. And with the three hugging each other after all this time, it was more than enough to touch the hearts of many, making viewers cry and shed tears of gratitude and appreciation. But she had to go. She knew that it was Alden and Maine's time to finally be together. And with happiness and satisfaction in her face, Lola Nidora gave the floor to the love team so they could enjoy their well-earned presence together.

Words of the Heart

With everything now set for the moment of truth, Alden and Maine's eyes met together, now with no thought of anything else, but each other. You could feel the battle in each of their own selves, not sure whether to act on their own volition or choose to go with the flow of the event. Nevertheless, they were able to hold their peace and go through with whatever is needed to be done. And now Alden convey his truest of feelings in these words:

"Maine, ang tagal kong hinintay 'tong chance na 'to: to say that God gave me you.
Ang layo na ng narating natin. Dalawang taong naghahanap, and finally, nagkita
               na rin. Salamat sa'yo."

As for my reaction to Alden's statement, here's my take of the matter. All that reflects back in my mind were the many years that Richard was single, and trying to look for the woman that would make him feel love. He may have had relationships in the past, of many forms. Some of which are professional, others are more or less intimate of the said relationship but nothing that may come close to what he was yearning for. He was in search for something that would complete him, make his day, and be at his best. He may have had moments when he stumbled and took a wrong turn here and there. But he was still on that path. It took him many years to complete that journey. When he mentioned that he waited for so long of the chance, it was almost all of his lifetime. Perhaps I could say that he began the travels when he lost a part of himself when his mother departed and took a course back to Our Maker. And his missing piece was with Maine. Why? All I could say is that it was with her that the pinkie swear was brought back into being: a memory that he and his loving mother shared. That's all it took him to make sure. It was a sign that no other could profess, except the one that he could call home. Indeed, God gave Alden, Maine.

But there was something more interesting in his statement. He could have felt it during the times when they were on screen, together and separate, and especially when they did not see each other for more than one week. The gap between their world, and many of their similarities may have given him the impression that Maine has been looking for the right person too. Think about it. No person in his or her sane mind would be in a relationship other than to be loved and fill the purpose of one's existence where he or she could end up marrying the one he or she loves. The more the relationship, the more it could be asserted that there is dissatisfaction in the turnout of the search, or there is still longing that may not be satiated as of yet. And that longing, as they mutually felt, were filled with each other's presence, between Richard Reyes Faulkerson Jr. and Nicomaine Dei Capili Mendoza. Nope, not Alden Richards and Yaya Dub. Those were mere roles and acting names. But within that event, there was no holding back and no reservations to their true selves.

When Alden was done, he stepped closer to Maine, filling the void and the awkwardness between these supposedly lovers on TV. And to my surprise, I was caught off-guard with Maine's response. I knew she felt the rapture when she got shy and all. But to actually raise her fist! Hahaha! That was totally her! It was the side of her that did not want to believe that what she's witnessing was real. Perhaps, it was her way of saying "umayos ka! Kinikilig ako!" And then they laughed to break the moment. It was so normal of her to feel that way. It was beyond her wildest dreams. Alden was beyond the reaches of her imagination. The pessimist in her cannot believe what was happening!

And so he gave the mike to Maine... But she did not reach it. Maybe it was because she can't find the right words to say or she was overwhelmed of the moment. She may most probably be nervous at the time. Alden, aware of the said predicament, did what he could do as a man. He moved in a way that would make Maine be comfortable by offering his arms so the message can still be conveyed without the use of words. And yes, he was right for doing the gesture because as soon as Maine found herself close to Alden, she had her arm wrapped to his, and leaned on his shoulder, right at that moment. It was the most relaxing thing she could do to ease her anxiety, and the world acknowledged it.

When they walked down together towards the audience, with their backs being captured by the camera, the sight was actually tingling! It was like a king and queen walking in the evening sky, greeted and met by the many stars that look to them. It was a moment like no other. It was breathtaking! The sky lanterns in the background. It symbolized of the many wishes of the members of the fandom. It could be the best for Alden and Maine, the start of forever, and the many days, months, and years that they could be together.

The Serenade

Even before Alden sung the number, his thoughts were already wandering. Maine asked for the shoes. Alden said it could wait for later. It felt like Alden was prepared for this that he knew every part of the role they're playing. The excitement was there. His lips were dry and he's not sure how things will turn out when he does the number. But he had to sing anyway.

"God Gave Me You" is now an anthem many fans can relate to, particularly to how the Alden and Maine love team was created. Because to the thoughts of many, the two individuals were given to each other as a way of how God created the moments they would be together. If you could backtrack of how everything began, even before Yaya and Alden's eyes met in the EB stage, you will have the same assertion that only Deity could do so much to make two people actually meet each other at the right time, in the right place, at the right circumstance.

When Alden started singing, everyone's eyes were on them. Maine makes a face every now and then, still kidding around and trying not to get too immersed in the moment. But with Alden, things are different. This song was dedicated to her, as a way of showing to the world that he's more than grateful to God for finally ending his search to the woman that would complete him. His voice a bit trembling, he had to sing to meet the expectations that were set. He had to play the part and he was able to do it so well because he has Maine beside him. She served as his anchor to keep things steady and immovable. He held her tight, almost all throughout the song. He can't let her go. He had to hold on to the stirrings that were contained all this time. But behold, he was never able to keep his composure. When he looked into Maine's eyes, while singing the lines "For every glass I saw, I saw half empty. Now it overflows, like a river in my soul", Alden became emotional and finally hugged her without warning. Maine was also overcome with feelings of awe that she also shed tears. She was ready to let go. But Alden, no... He had to cherish the moment. Her arms was his paradise and he had to stay. He also cried and had to sing. What occurred there was an outburst of feelings that has been kept for so long. This was apparent with Alden due to his character, as the gentleman, as the person that would lead this relationship to greatness. This was the only time he had to actually shift his persona from the dashing into the real and emotional individual that he is. There was no other moment, as sweet and as dear as it is, that he can another into reality. It was the perfect guise. Thus, there were moments when it was Richard who's taking the lead. Maine may have known what Alden has been going through, the hug was more than just an expression of love. That made her cry the very least. But yes, there is more to the tears, knowing that everything that occurred that day was beyond magical.

He held her hand. He wrapped his hands around her. He's not letting go and he will no longer be the same knowing how it feels like to be near her, be around her, and be so close to her. It's just like arriving at that vantage point where everything else lesser, could never compare. That's how it feels like to love and to feel that love never to be gone again. He held her hands so tight that you will know, even without words, that Alden has found paradise in Maine; and the world felt it. People were bursting into tears and were a witness of that devotion he's showing.

Alden knelt down... A part of the show? Nope. He knelt down because of the following lines that would mean a lot to many, particularly to those who have experienced the feeling of accepting an engagement proposal from someone really dear:

In your arms I'm someone new
With ever tender kiss from you
Oh, must confess
I've been blessed

Yes, he was confessing to Maine of what his feelings were. He had professed, in those few words, of what Maine is, in his life, at the time when they were together in that show. He had to kneel down because he was in the act of actually wooing the girl he loves.

And singing together? It may also be a part of that affirmation that Maine could have the mutual feelings about Alden. He had to do it and let her sing. He felt that what they are feeling for each other are the same, give and take. It need not be complicated to have that kind of confidence considering that they have been so close to each others' hearts for so long of 14 weeks. That level of esteem could be seen in their actions, even when Alden touched her hair and waved it towards Maine's ears. Only someone so intimate can do so with such consent.

The Interview

After the song was sung and everything else went back to normal, at least, the three Lolas came out to interview and have a word with both Alden and Maine. Lola Nidora, who's supposed to be the antagonist in this story, even approved and found it favorable that the two lovers are looking good together. And as expected of Tidora, she was thrilled and raptured of the thought that these two individuals are now sharing moments together in a way that was never encountered ever in their kind of relationship as split screen partners. But Tinidora's gesture was perhaps the most comforting, if not deviating. She kissed Alden all to keep them in the moment, release that tension in the air, and make things light for all of them in the stage. Some may think it may be some kind of upstaging, but no. It was never the case because Tinidora's intentions were to simply make Alden become more relaxed in that scene.

Lola Nidora asked Alden to repeat the words he said to Maine, as a way of affirming that his words were not just a sway of the moment. She needed to know that the words coming out from Alden's mouth are true and sincere. But more importantly, Lola Nidora also wanted to know what Maine's thoughts and feelings are, knowing that Alden's already close, confessing his feelings, and letting his heart out to her. When Maine had the moment, you will know from her eye movements, her body language, and her manner of speech, that she's not the kind of person that could voice out her feelings of love to someone close. Although she has the vocabulary and the brevity to convey her most detailed thoughts in the blog she loved so much, she, along with many others like her, would have a hard time speaking out her mind in the time when she had to speak both from her head and from her heart. She was nervous. Her sincerity and genuine affection cannot be questioned. It was her first time to actually tell someone of how she feels, in a way that it was done on Saturday. Her words of truth and love are as follows:

"Alden, thank you. Alam mo, pinagdasal ko talaga 'tong araw na 'to. Ganoon din naman
yung gusto kong sabihin sa'yo eh. God gave me you."

Alden did not need too much words to fill his longing heart. All that he needed to hear was that what Maine is feeling is as same as his. He knew that the girl in front of him is at a loss for words. She was trembling. She tried her best to convey what's in the recesses of her mind. But no. He did not need to hear too much or look for statements of eloquence or intellect, or wit. He hugged her. He was so glad that they are in the journey to eternity together. He was happy that he will never be alone in the road to forever.

But what felt chilling was after that. When Alden was dubsmashing their anthem song, Maine wiped his tears, a gesture that meant she was aware and acknowledges the feelings Alden has for her. All that happened that time was a glimpse of the future, when the song is over and her eyes are open. She is seeing the man that she may be spending the rest of her life with. Alden was in that state of bliss. Even though he was full of joy, tears fell because of the overwhelming feeling of acceptance. But Maine was not done yet. She had more things to say, now that she's comfortable in front of the man she feels loved and respected:

"Ang dami nang nagbago sa buhay natin. Ang dami nang nangyari. Pero may mga bagay
pa rin na hindi magbabago. Alam mo na yun... Isa doon, ikaw at ako."

Despite of what has been felt and seen between the two, with all their loving gestures and emotional exchange of feelings, Lola Nidora had to teach one reality that should always be remembered and never be forgotten. Tamang Panahon was the moment when everything more intimate about them will begin. But it never meant to be a passage to pass the path where only the truest of lovers, close to the bonds of matrimony, will tread. They are in the stage that they need to know each other better. It could mean the preparation of something more valuable and promising. That they need to be friends and understand what ticks in each others' personalities. I for one actually believe that the greatest and most loving of couples have that deep and strong foundation of friendship. As they say, your marital relationships will last if "you marry your best friend." I think that kind of closeness, to the point of mutual respect and affection is more important and valuable than just being married due to physical attraction or emotional stir.

Lola Nidora also reminded of the trust that was gained and given by Alden, Maine, and the three Lolas. Perhaps trust is the most powerful bond that one needs to establish in any form of relationship; whether it be for lovers, for family members, for friends, colleagues, and companions. And as a promise, they made the pinkie heart swear to confirm that the promise is a pledge of love and loyalty to each other, and to the lovers. And to make the moment mellow down, Lola encouraged to see the prince and the princess to have a dance, to savor the moment and make the lasting memory retained in their minds and hearts forever.

But alas! Alden had to get the shoes so Cinderella could start her happily ever after with her prince. It was the shoes that was left at the time Alden gave his all to meet her the first time in the studio. The shoe was a reminder of how Alden's feelings grew from simple into profound and lasting. And while the moment of fitting the shoe was in progress, Maine threw out her wild side to make the quiet moment somehow funny, if not amorous and passionate.

The Dance

The dance was sweet and light. There were no intense moments. And what makes this dance different is how Maine and Alden feel for each other at the time. They were comfortable and would even think of a dance, such as this, as a time of fun and of good times. You could see their younger side, still having that relationship of being friends, intact in one another's character.

But when the dance was over and flying kisses were all over the arena, Maine made her move that would give you a very sneaky hint of the kind of person she is... A cunning and out-of-this-world girl will be sweeping Alden's heart, big time. Finding it as a challenge, Alden also felt that he could kiss Maine by the cheek. But no! It was still too early. He had to device a way to show the same cunning Maine did. It was an open challenge for Alden to become creative in showing his feelings to this smart girl.

And that folks end my entry for the beginning of forever. It may have been a bit lengthy, but there was satisfaction in my heart that the Tamang Panahon event was a success, and a mark of a new beginning between these two individuals who have been destined and met together by serendipity and fate. And as a member of the AlDub Nation, I am at watch to see what will transpire in the next couple of weeks and months. I am looking forward to see that the moment called "Takdang Pagkakataon" would be a promise fulfilled... When their hearts would be closer and more intimate than ever.

When Eventually Becomes Reality

As a custom in our fandom, members of the AlDub Nation hold Twitter parties to show support and love for the AlDub love team. And while it happens, many fans are into creating statements that will not only keep the party going, but also kindle the many hearts that hope for a wonderful future between Alden and Maine. It happens during weeksaries, in monthsaries, or on Saturdays.

But today, Saturday, October 24, 2015, is a special day because after three months of watching when that Tamang Panahon will finally come, Lola Nidora declared that long-anticipated day will be today. It will make history, not only in the Philippines, or in Eat Bulaga, but it will be a worldwide event, being held in the biggest indoor stadium in the world, The Philippine Arena.

However, the real essence of Tamang Panahon is not the millions of tweets, the venue, the philanthropic project, the ratings, or the show in itself. Everything else being prepared for the said event are just icings, ornaments, and designs in the cake, that will make all things beautiful, inside and out. The real core of Tamang Panahon, really, is all about Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza finally being together on one stage, on one screen, no holds barred, no rulers, no tables, no walls, and nothing extraordinary that will stop the off-screen couple from being very close to each other. Yes, it's the moment everyone is waiting to happen, when fan service may be fulfilled at its best! When Alden will finally let everything out for over three months of waiting patiently in showing his real feelings to Maine...

And when thinking how the fans would react about it, they'll be many steps ahead. That's right, when today will be the time when it's just all about starting their journey on the road to forever, they're now thinking of what it would be like when forever stops to a pause, in the aisle, when these two lovers are united in the bonds of matrimony. You may think it's a kind of exaggeration, but that's how members of the AlDub Nation are excited with what will occur today. Despite of the many occasions that will come after today i.e. Christmas, New Year, Alden's and Maine's birthdays, Valentines Day, and many more, (insert Joey De Leon's statement: "patay, talo ang kalaban") the most anticipated day being looked forward to by the majority, if not all, of the fans, is their Wedding Day.

Yes, while everyone else in the AlDub Nation are rooting and cheering for what will happen later today, some, including me and a few others, have talked about what it would be like on their wedding day, since the air is making things exciting. And because of the topic, it has been brought to attention that Maine created a poem entitled "Eventually", which was created back in October 2013. For the interest of both the readers and her website, I will post the poem here, including the source link: http://mainemendoza.com/eventually

Eventually
by Maine Mendoza

I was listening to a song
Then I closed my eyes
And thought about my future
With you, us together

Our "wedding day"
Popped into my head
I didn't know why
but as the song goes by
I picture myself walking down the aisle

I see you waiting for me
Wiping the tears on your cheeks
I wonder what is going on your mind
But it didn't actually matter
For I can see the rapture in your eyes

It felt so magical
Seeing you and I starting our first day of being
legitimately together
But as the song nears its end
Every picture seem to vanish
For all that,
I still found myself smiling as I open my eyes
Thinking that even if it wasn't real,
I know deep down that time will come
Our song won't ever end
And I won't have to close my eyes
and imagine my life with you anymore
For it will come to reality
And all my fantasies with you
Will all come true.

While the poet in me says that I should create a version that may address the lines written in this lovely poem, I durst not do so to respect the purity and the beauty of this emotionally-made piece. Rather, I would like to address this work of art in a way that it would be clues of both the present and the future. It will serve as a key that will unlock the insights, the vision, and the fantasies of the many members of the AlDub Nation that will read this blog entry.

The title in itself, "Eventually", is a phrase that connotes a message of both hope and optimism for the future. No, it was not the kind of future that will be forcibly reached and achieved. The word "Eventually" felt more like she placed her hands to fate, that her vision of listening to her wedding song would one day occur with the image of a guy standing closest to her.

Not to intrude her thoughts, but in the spectrum of reality we are now seeing, and correct me if I am wrong in any way, the man closest to her, at the moment, would be Alden Richards. And based on what occurred in the previous episodes of Kalyeserye, particularly with that of the YaKie wedding, if you could still remember, the song chosen was South Border's "Love of My Life". A beautiful song it is, but it was never strong of a song for Maine because it did not remind her of the person who's closest to her heart. She was dressed for the occasion. According to many, even my wife said so, that Maine was at her most beautiful during that day. The dress was perfect, the hair was well done, the gown was perfectly fit for her physique, even the makeup was able to bring out the best in her facial features. But the song, right at the beginning, did not feel right, so you'll have a guess that the wedding wasn't the real deal... Kahit na aktingan lang yun oy!

I'll be true on this, and I hope I'm right. But the song that will likely be played in their wedding day, would be "God Gave Me You". Why? It's because the very lyrics of the song, including, the overall message it conveys, is all about Maine, being given as a gift by God, to Alden... And Alden, being a gift given by God to Maine. Even though their union in the future will still be determined by personal choice and other factors, we cannot deny the fact of how serendipity and fate played along in letting these two people meet and then meet again, for over five years. The scenario was so rare that you could think their association today would still be too epic that it can create the most wonderful movies and novels romantics could ever read and watch in their lifetime... And to think that all of these happened true to life.

And since your imaginations are strong, (happy thoughts, happy thoughts, *rolls eyes* happy thoughts) try to play "God Gave Me You" in the background, then feel the words coming from Maine's poem. Right, as I am trying this experiment, I looked for acoustic covers of the said song on YouTube. I found James and Aldrich's version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cye2BQzR5i8. It was actually sung clean and the guitar sounded crisp. I closed my eyes and tried to feel every word sung. It felt magical at first, but my ears were just so critical that the magic faded and the tears just stopped. The emotions were not sufficient. The voice did not carry the message it was supposed to bear to the listener. But the second song I found was totally out of the league. It sounded good beyond my belief. The way it was sung felt sincere. The voice was familiar and the feelings were intensely strong. As I watched the video, my tears were already rolling down my cheeks, even before I closed my eyes! What the heck! So this was it! THIS IS REALLY IT! When I listened to Alden Richard's version of "God Gave Me You" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=415qNx5YQB0, hit me in the face, but I was crying more than I should, putting my thoughts to that of Maine's. I closed my eyes, I read the words in the poem. The emotions were outpouring! What?! I can't believe I was crying in this song that I got used to hearing over and over. Try this experiment if you could, and you will be surprised of the results! Especially in the parts with the piano solo... Oooh! The goosebumps, the tears, and the feelings I felt! I wished I could hear the whole song in piano solo, then it would be more than ideal. It would be perfect! In layman's terms, bato na lang ang hindi maiyak pag hindi niyo pa naramdaman si Alden sa kantang 'to, bilang magiging wedding song nilang dalawa!

Because of what I did to myself *wipes tears with shirt* I now felt what Maine was trying to imagine in her wedding day. Seriously, all of it. The presence of each other. The tears rolling down the cheeks of every person in the wedding venue. The song echoing in the air. The hearts burning with delight and joy in the union. The chirping birds nearby. The cooling breeze coming from the outside. The rays of the sun gracing the windows, columns, and floors of the church. The rapture. The imaginations playing in the mind and in the heart. The magic!

Everything that I thought I could explain in words could not compare with the feelings I felt when I've done the experiment. Not likely to be real? From the way things occurred in my room this morning, it was too sweet, too sincere, and too convincing for not to have both Alden and Maine not to end with each other.

The words will vanish, yes, and Maine will be opening her eyes with Alden by her side, holding her hand to his, feeling the warmth of the love they feel for each other. All her fantasies will be real. She will be opening her eyes to the reality that God bound them so that they could embark on the journey together, forever. There's no longer a trace of pessimism in this poetry as all would be fulfilled in word and in deed.

This is the time... Tamang Panahon is even at the doors. But more than Tamang Panahon when Alden will finally be at his closest to Maine, and Maine to Alden, I would like to wait for Itinadhanang Pagkakataon when they would finally be together for good, fulfilling every dream they have. It's more than what Vincent Van Gogh could imagine of how colorful Midsummer Night's Dream would be. No... This vision will never be an eventually when it may or may not happen. This time, it's gonna be a reality because the man in the vision is real. You could hear him sing. You could feel his breath on your ears. He will be whispering words that your wildest dreams have never imagined. It will definitely never be "AlDub You" or "MaAlden Kita". It would be sweet words that only the strongest of feelings can convey and express.

The Road to Forever

On this 14th weeksary, everything is now coming to a close in reaching Tamang Panahon. But that event alone, anticipated by millions of AlDub fans all over the world, is just the beginning of something more interesting. Tamang Panahon can be dubbed as one of the greatest moments in a person's life, the first few steps in starting the road to forever.

If there is one person I know that would be the most excited and anxious in this momentous event, it would be none other than the person I've come to know in the rift of sanity. Yep, I know some of you may have been over the journey already, but I have not yet finished my journal of the said event. There's one thing that needs to be expressed to complete the epistle I am writing for the guy that poured his all during that special day. His last day in that travel may have opened himself to the point that he no longer worried if many would know his true identity or not. While it may be not his intention to truly make himself vulnerable from all the questioning and the assumption, I would like to convey his words to the AlDub Nation to let you know how much of this Tamang Panahon is making him deeply attached with his thoughts via ATM. (Alden to Maine)

Promise, this would be my last entry about the dimensional journey I had on Twitter. The door would be closed after this and leave everything as I have left it many days ago.

Alden Richards, as known to many, may be playing his role well as a lover to Yaya Dub, as what we see during the Juan for All segment in Eat Bulaga. Now this, would only be in the perspective of a TV viewer, limited on the 1-hour time slot that is graced to fans, every single day. But in the eyes of the real individual, there are certain roles growing behind the cameras or the blinding spot lights. These roles are familiar to many who are seriously into working a relationship with a person that's very close to the heart.

As a co-artist, Alden is very concerned to Maine Mendoza in the situations and conditions she is in, whether in the studio, or in the barangays where she joins JoWaPao. He sees to it that Maine is well taken care of by the staff and the people surrounding her. Though he may not be physically close to Maine, he would remind everyone to make sure she's safe and protected in playing her role as Yaya. He's not the kind of guy that would be so pushy just to make the love team work all day. If there are moments when Maine cannot come due to health issues or commitments, he would consider those as first priority and would make up for her absence by seeing that the Kalyeserye would still go on, even without her presence. He's not as selfish as some would think. He's sometimes bashed for being misunderstood, thinking that it's okay for him not to see her or feel her for many days with her being gone. Oh, if you only knew the ache he feels when he knows he won't see her during those times.

Alden and Maine are doing their best to support each other in their craft, and we have seen it lately when both of them are now dubsmashing together. Back then, the only thing that Alden does is to dubsmash "Twerk It Like Miley" and get at it every single time. Even during those times, Maine was already into supporting what Alden knew so little about. Due to her expertise, I bet Alden was challenged to pursue that path just to be at par with the "Queen of Dubsmash". Surprising enough, Alden can now play the role together with Maine and look cute together.

Acting used to be Alden's main forte, and we know of his experience years beyond. Maine, as others have mentioned in the past, is actually left behind in this craft. Really? Can anyone even notice how blessed Maine was when she was given the chance to be with three of the greatest comedians in Eat Bulaga, every single day for the last three months? And they are saying that Yaya Dub is not given much break and opportunity? Oh! Such words of belittlement can only be said by the myopic and the unobservant! We have seen Yaya shed her tears, express so much joy, deal with pain, and even go through hardship. The roles she played were challenging on its own. She did not have a huge sandbox to play with. She did not have acting workshops and used her Dubsmashing skills to play the parts that demanded her expertise. But lo and behold, she was able to make it through, and Alden was there to make sure that they are able to play their parts well. No, there were no pulling strings nor one dominating the other. It was a mutual relationship of growth for their careers.

Although Alden and Maine are shining in their own light, both of them belong to the same sky, making one another look their best together without unnecessary competition between one another. But you may not know this. Maine's growth is actually making Alden more interested to her by the day. The better she got, the more curious Alden has become to see what she will be like when her full potential has been reached. Afraid and worried? Nope. He's not the type that would trample other people for the sake of his fame. He's actually humbled that Maine was able to help him reach the stage he is enjoying now. Maine, most probably, feels the same way.

So even though Alden is garnering more attention than Maine, it was only the result of a love team that the people esteemed and favored. The mall tours, the shows, and the invitations, those were offered to him even before he became the other half of AlDub. It was never his fault that he cannot say no to the people that believed in his talents. He's not the person to turn down an offer. And though he is misunderstood in most occasions, he did not mind as long as Maine is protected and never bashed in the end. His chivalry still stood on the top of everything, even when some people are against him.

As a love team, Alden would not like to push too far. He's very careful in the sense that he will not use the said professional relationship as an opportunity to be close to her. Yes, his sense of ethics are so high that he would not dare use the AlDub fever as an excuse to hit her or use it as a door to enter into a real relationship. Now that would be so ironic for the rest of the fandom, yes? But honestly, that would be so low and degrading of the individuals. We have been accustomed to seeing that reel relationships end up to love... Think of the many love teams we had in the past. Many of the fans are so into them that they wish everything would be for real. For what? For publicity? For gaining more followers? To gain the sympathy of the masses and to gain a bigger market? Hell no! Alden knew that going through that path may destroy the very thing that he wanted to happen. He does not want to start a sincere and honest loving relationship on the wrong foot, in the wrong foundation. He had to make things right the first time, and that is no easy task, considering that AlDub is now a known global phenomenon. Alden and Maine had other relationships in the past, making them wiser, smarter, and better at knowing what it takes to make the real deal set sail. So, AlDub... yes. But MaiDen, not yet...

As a friend, Alden would love to be in the shoes of a person that Maine Mendoza could trust and believe in. I mean, who would not want to be friends with someone whose mind is as broad as the universe and as deep as the ocean floor? Who would not want to be associated with an individual that's so passionate, kind, true, and honest? If there is a role that Alden wanted to play, more than being a love team, it's being a friend, someone who Maine can open herself to. No, not the Alden that we commonly see on TV, the person that's fresh and full of confidence. I'm talking about Richard Faulkerson Jr. The guy that's a bit timid, kinda shy, decent, and simple, stripped of pride, and down to earth. That's the side of the person Maine has to see... That's where the real treasure is. And I am sure that when she does, she will love Richard, more than she liked Alden. I bet Maine would be delighted to know of the being that has been so anxious of reaching out to the likes of her, for the longest time!

The world they are moving in can be cruel, and in fact, can be unfair in most occasions. Richard did not establish much contact with Maine outside the bounds of their career because such involvement would be harsh. They will be the point of all the rumors in the world. Eyes will be watching them everywhere they go. People will be snooping into their private lives. So even when Richard would want to be in the position where they could spend time together alone, he won't be able to do so willingly, because he looks into Maine's safety a priority more than his anxiety of them to be together as friends. And having an intact yet professional relationship is much better than having no relationship at all.

When Alden gets interviewed a lot, he does his best of just letting all the attention focused to him. Attention hungry? Popularity crazy? Nope! Not even the slightest thought. He does so selflessly because he wanted to protect Maine and keep her private life, private. He never leaked any clues, nor showed overtones of emotions. He did not want Maine to overthink and be pressured of the love team they have. It was only meant to be on TV so it will not affect Maine and her family, as much. Alden would not want to leave Maine in a position that she has to compromise her lifestyle or habits, just to answer the demands of the AlDub Nation. He would not want Maine to be emotionally stressed and tired, just to satiate what the world wanted. He had to go against the flow of what the fans wanted as a respect to Maine's personal space. That they had to be together, that they would end up holding hands, sitting close together and dubsmashing on the same screen, kissing each other on the lips, and hugging each other? Alden did not want any of that yet as true love will be clouded with the intent of marketing the love team. He would not want something so noble and true be tarnished with intents of selfishness and greed. Sad enough, Alden is misunderstood in this situation thinking he's hogging all the attention for himself because he wants to be popular. Well, now I am telling, as what the traveler mentioned previously, it was all to protect one of the most important people he values so greatly.

Alden wanted to know Maine better than anyone. He's into her. He has no reason to doubt of his interest to her as a person, as a woman, and as a partner. He would not want to rush things as it is at the moment. He would follow the counsel that Lola Nidora gave him, not to make haste of the feelings he has. If Maine would be the last woman he'll meet being single, then he had to be sure to know every aspect of her being... He wanted to be sure. He needed it to end the heartbreak.

As an admirer, Alden has been amazed with Maine's talents. He watched her dubsmash even before she was famous. He's fond of seeing her quirky and funny side. But in the course of playing the role as Alden in the love team, and in those days when they are sharing the limelight together in Eat Bulaga, Alden can't help but be fascinated with a woman that's so blessed with many talents. Imagine the kind of awe he's feeling knowing that a lady in her twenties could do so much in playing drums, acting, writing blog entries, singing, dancing, cooking, drawing, making funny faces, and so much more.

But more than the God-given talents she have, Alden is admiring the person in Maine, the qualities she have as a unique and special individual; the actual clockwork that makes her tick as she is. Due to her personal attributes, Alden may have *ehem* real feelings towards Maine. After all, who would never like a person such as Maine Mendoza?! She's the real deal, the whole package, the best box of chocolates you could ever have in your lifetime. Alden finds her fun to be with, witty, smart, and intelligent.

And those feelings Alden feel may be yielding to his emotions because of what's happening in the Kalyerserye! Yep, to those who had questions whether it's possible for Alden not to fall while playing their roles as a love team? It can be possible, if he puts his heart and mind into it, but he's the one who's having the hardest time. Everyone in the world knows that Maine has a crush for Alden. But the other way around? That can be very difficult for him. Just imagine if the feeling was mutual! Maine may get the wrong idea and Alden would not want that. Selfish? Nope... He is just safeguarding a more important aspect in a loving relationship... And that's what you call friendship. He want to be friends with Maine more than anything else. Being a real-life couple can wait. But to be friends? It had to be strong to prove that a marital relationship could last forever.

He's the guy in this love team, and a man should be the one stirring the wheel. This applies to family life, in making decisions, and in other life principles. It's the guy who should be leading the march, while considering the welfare of those close to him. He will be there to protect and make everything safe, just like a father to his family, a lover to his partner, as a friend to a friend.

Have you ever imagined the kind of journey Alden Richards had to go through? And you think that he had things easy all this time? No... Not a single second did he feel that what he was going through with Maine was as simple as ABC or 123. He had to make sure that everything works out in the end. He had to make sure that he would not yield or give in to what the fans wanted. He's being forced to shout what he feels when he tries to contain it all for the sake of a more important cause. He wanted to make things slow, for the sake of the walk that, when successful, would last more than a lifetime.

It can be rather unfortunate for his sake that he had to create the very wall that was supposed to be away in the first place. He had to control his feelings and suppress his emotions for a better light. He had to follow the great counsel in mind and in heart. Imagine the irony! Feel the pain! He had to hide his real feelings of joy and bliss seeing Maine eye to eye. He wanted to express something true, but had to hide it just to protect her. It's like reaching the stars or swimming an endless sea.

And now that Tamang Panahon is coming to a close, we will see how things will begin... If it is as intended, Alden will be bursting out, letting many months of suppression into a release! He will finally be able to let his feelings show. The things we saw in his music video and many others that he did without Maine's presence on the same screen, may be the ones we'll be seeing on Saturday. Too bad I will not be there physically, but I am more than happy to be an instrument in letting the AlDub Nation understand what Alden Richards had to go through all this time. It was a hard journey to go through, but I was glad I was able to know that traveler better. And for this last time, I am leaving that world, and will no longer be back there. I would leave things as they are, but you are now witnesses of a world that was never meant to be revealed en masse!

@aldenophile may surprise ako sa'yo! Napagtanggol ko na ata si @aldenrichards02 sa mga haters niya!

Reading those words addressed to Alden's dad, I am shedding tears because I am sure that I have served justice to the person misunderstood in the whole matter.

The road to forever will never be easy. It's a path that would take many years to tread. It would leave you tired, happy, stressed, pressured, trembling, worried, grieving, shaken, beaten, scourged, hated, and maligned. Many feelings will be in that path and it can be tiresome... But that walk to forever is worth every step you take... every breath you let out, every sweat that drops, every fiber of the muscle that moves.

Abangan ang Tamang Panahon, dahil ito na ang simula ng isang mahaba at masayang paglalakbay patungo sa walang haggang ligaya at saya!
